I know I already blogged for today, but I got a lot of comments and suggestions as well as I watched a movie. So this second blog will be quite lengthy.
First:
Amanda B. told me that Ghostbusters was on tonight. That’s a great movie, but I couldn’t find the channel it was on, but I did find Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
Another fine Ben Stiller movie is what I have to say. I love how you see him as Gaylord Focker in the Meet the Parents movies and then you see him as White Goodman in this movie. His creepiness in this movie is what makes me enjoy him that much more. I also want to say that Vince Vaughn can pull off “the wink.” You know that, it’s where someone randomly winks at you. He does a good job. Oh, remember in the beginning when Justin (the highschooler) recalls last years cheerleading tryouts? Well, the fat girl who is his partner is Lori Beth from All That, FYI. Did you ever notice that both movies that Ben Stiller’s wife is in with him, she has the same hair-do? I did. I felt like pointing that out. My favorite character is Steve the Pirate. He’s great. No one acts like a pirate on a daily basis. If someone does, I want to meet them and become friends with them. And another thing. Who the hell doesn’t know how to play dodgeball already. It’s basic knowledge like knowing how to drink is basic knowledge. I love dodgeball, by the way. But I don’t think I’m very good at it. Well it depends on who my opponents are. It also takes balls to wear S & M attire when playing dodgeball. I think that’s it for Dodgeball. “Your as useful as a poopy-flavored lollypop.”
Second:
Since Amanda told me about it, I will review it.
Who hasn’t seen Ghostbusters? You need to. This is a must-see! It’s a 1984 classic. If you haven’t been graced with it’s presence, then I’ll do a sum-up. It’s about 3 doctors that work at a NYC university. Two of them are into ghosts. Because of their off-the-wall experiments and theories, the dean kicks them out. They decided to go into the ghost busting business after witnessing a free-floating vapor at the NY public library. Siguorny Weavor is their first real customer, along with many others. But she has the main problem. The Samorian God, Gozar, has invaded her apartment. The Ghostbusters must send Gozar back to her/his/it’s own world. This movie is just hilarious and I love it. It’s another movie that I can watch over and over again along with it’s sequel. Both are great. I really have nothing else to say about it because you have to see it. I think most of the people who read this blog have never seen it. Do it, do it.
Third:
Amanda Florio has graced this blog with her presence by suggesting a few movies. Unfortunately, they are movies that I’m not a huge fan of. She suggested Mean Girls, The Notebook, and A Walk to Remember. I’ve never seen The Notebook, I saw A Walk to Remember a long time ago, and I wasn’t really paying attention to it anyways, so I’ll have to go with Mean Girls.
I’m not a fan of Lyndsey Lohan. She turned into some celebrity with big boobs and celebrity problems. I liked her when she was the little ginger girl who played identical twins from The Parent Trap. Mean Girls wasn’t a horrible movie, but it’s not at the top of my list. I’ve seen it twice in my life and I’d like to keep it that way. But I won’t shoot myself if I had to see it again. But I’m not saying I want to run out and see it. When I first saw it I noticed how a few people from Saturday Night Live were in it. In fact it was written by a couple people from SNL. I love that show and I was a bit upset to see them in this movie. But Amy Poehler helped me a little bit to get through the movie as she played that mom who wants to fit in with her daughter and her daughter’s friends. I’m so glad my mother isn’t like that. I do have one thing to say. This movie is almost pretty accurate with how high schoolers act. Friends talk behind each others backs, there are many different groups and cliques. I couldn’t make it as one of the mean girls because I don’t wear pink and I don’t have enough hair to wear up or down. Uh, that’s all.
