Yesterday I got a suggestion to do She’s the Man starring Amanda Bynes. I shall appease the request.
I’m going to start off saying that Amanda Bynes was great on All That. I loved that show. But it started to suck when new people came on. So Amanda went on to do the Amanda Bynes show and some teen flicks. This is one of them. She is a fraternal twin. She has a brother. Both of them play soccer at private schools. The girls team she’s on never gets any recognition for what they do so they want to team up with the boys. Well, that is not allowed at all. Her brother is going to a new private school, however he is in England secretly for some music crap. Amanda decides to dress up like him and go to school there so she can play soccer with the boys. Once again, it’s a predictable movie. Amanda Benzaquin and myself knew the ending by the opening credits. What I don’t understand is how no one could tell that she was a chick. I understand that no one at the school knew what her brother looked like, but still. This movie is sort of like Just One of the Guys, which is an awesome movie. It’s also a bit predictable, but it’s an 80s movie, so it’s better. Anyways, Amanda has to get through school without anyone knowing he’s a she. Amanda comes up with all these plans and excuses for why she has tampons. Did I like this movie? Eh, I’m not a fan of teen flicks, unless they’re from the 80s.
