I Can Make You a Man | Feb 02nd 2007
This next movie is wonderful. I was introduced to it in the 7th grade by one of my friends and ever since I have loved it ever so much.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Yes, it is a weird movie, but in a good way. Let’s take a look up at the cast member line-up. We have Susan Sarandon as Janet Wiess, a heroin; Barry Bostwick as Brad Majors, a hero; Richard O’Brien as Riff Raff, the butler; Patricia Quinn and Magenta, the maid; Nell Campbell as Columbia, a groupie; Meatloaf as Eddie, the ex-delivery boy; and the star Tim Curry as Dr. Frankenfurter, a scientist. It’s about how Brad and Janet get engaged and are on their way to go visit the person who hooked them up. However, their tire gets a flat so they venture to a scary castle that they passed only to figure out that the homeowner is not going to help them. There are so many magical songs in this movie. My favorites are Sweet Transvestite, Rose Tint My World (a.k.a. the floor show), and I’m going home. And of course my favorite character is Dr. Frankenfurter. I can’t even explain how good a movie it is. You need to see it if you haven’t, I’m sure you’ll like it if you like weird, but fun movies. It’s also pretty funny. Usually every Saturday at midnight in NYC, a theatre puts this show on. Everyone goes dressed up as their favorite character or just a person and the movie is played on the background as people perform it onstage. You throw things and yell things, it’s sooo much fun. My cousin, her boyfriend, and my friends went to see TRHPS at Creative Ministries in Oakdale, Long Island. It was just a play, but we dressed up anyhows and had a blast. We had front row seats. I was used to the movie so it was a little different but everyone did a good job. Some of the ensemble were a little too into it, but they were supposed to be.
Gotta go!!
Labyrinth!
